Reflections and refraction

This weekend has been quiet and relaxing. The Boy and I sorted out the bedroom and he assembled some lovely new shelves. On Sunday, Amber and Nails and the Mushroom man and The Boy and me went to the Saxon Mill for Sunday lunch. The menu was uninspiring but the house red was drinkable and the chocolate and vanilla cheesecake was, frankly, erotic. The biscuit was really crunchy and savory (mmmmmmm, chessecake). That said, the main point of going to this place is really the location. As you approach on-foot from LS you cross an open field using a path that runs through the centre. (This might have been reminicent of the scene in Withnail and I when they go to the pub or would be had it not been a lovely sunny afternoon.) Eventually you walk through a kissing gate and onto a ricketty wooden bridge across the river and from there you can see the patrons supping ale and counting the pheasants they've shot.
Later on me and The Boy settled down to some fruitloaf and strawberries for dinner and a movie.
